no yard work today - everyone please stay safe

I was planning to work in my yard today, but we have been told by the police to stay inside here in Belmont. There is a man hunt on now for one of the Marathon bombers. It is centered about 2 miles away from us in Watertown.

What a sad and scary situation. Hopefully I can do yard work later in the day. More importantly, we are praying no one else will be injured. We want everyone to be safe.

Safety first. Find something to do with your seedlings in the basement!

I've been enjoying your blog for a few months and thought of you this morning, wondering where you were in relationship to all of this.
How scary for you all. Stay safe.

Helicopters overhead now. Not a soul outside here on a beautiful sunny day.

Stay safe today and hopefully all will be clear this afternoon.

A sad and scary time for people in your area. Staying safe is the important thing but hope you'll be able to get out in the garden soon - I know it helps me cope with tough times. All the best.

This is the first time I have ever visited your blog, searching Yahoo for "cute gardens" :-)

For all of you in the Boston area, know we in Texas have been praying for you and your loved ones. May God relieve you from the anxiety and free you from fear, as well as keep you safe.

I am not far from West, Texas, and some of the local people here have gone there to help, or will be transporting relief supplies.

I will bookmark your blog and return at a happier time to "get to know you" through your posts. :-)

"Cute gardens"! I am happy to hear I rate that description. Sometimes growing vegetables isn't as attractive as other gardens, but beauty is good for the soul.

Hi, my goodness, I feel for you all. Having experienced an explosion in London first hand and many anxious times of bomb threats whilst travelling to work in London over several months on the tube system, it is deeply unsettling.

I've always enjoyed your blog. Prayer's for your area after this tragedy and I hope it's over. I hope you can all feel safe again soon. And I hope you find therapy in your garden work this weekend!

I can't even imagine how it must have felt to be a prisoner of the house. Let's hope that was the last of it.
