I planted my peas on March 17 - St Patrick's Day. Today I looked out the window and thought I saw something in the soil. Sure enough, five rows of pea sprouts. I will plant a couple more rows at Easter for a later crop. Peas (leaves and stems but not the pods) are very hardy to the cold and I am sure they will be fine with whatever weather comes this year. They are in my side yard - I plant here because the chipmunks eat them at the community plot.

Always exciting to see seeds pop up. My peas are up too and doing very well. I am thrilled since this is the first year I have ever tried planting peas!
Very exciting, my peas came up a couple of days ago and I planted them on the same day!
I did not get a chance to sow my peas yet. Will try to do it this week or week end. I love seeing how well yours look and very sad that I am not there yet.

My peas are up and growing! This is my first year for them as well! I planted Burpee - Burpeeana Peas. Planting these are all new for me and I am hoping for the best! Happy Gardening and best of luck with your peas!

Sugar snaps are up in SE Virginia. Planted on March 5. Growing fast - maybe 4" tall. Will need a stronger trellis.

I'm close to you in Woburn and I also planted peas. What types arfe you growing? I'm growing dwarf grey, I heard they have pretty purple blooms and yummy pods. I also planted sugar ann snap peas.
I helped my Dad start his garden today. I overturned the soil to find roots and to airate the soil. I had a lot of fun. He planted his seeds. It's fun to see your photos.
