I started my melons & cukes on 4/12....too early? Opps!
Kathy, I have this yellow onion that I left sitting on my kitchen counter; it has now sprouted. 9 green "shoots" with the longest about 4" long. Can I plant this???

I need to start all the melons, squash & cucumbers in a week or two. Let me know if you have any germination problems with the melons seed I sent. I have lots of seed of another Charentais if you need them.

I have lots of "volunteer" squash growing from compost, and I'm having a really hard time digging them up or throwing them away, but I don't have room in my garden for so much squash ... this is the hardest part of gardening for me! I love the edible things that come back all by themselves ...

Nice to see someone else is growing Anne Arundel and Charantais melons. I live in Anne Arundel County (Annapolis, MD) where these supposedly originated, so I just had to try them. Love your blog - I've been stalking for months.

Hmm, maybe I'll grow some Anne Arundel melons next year since I'm so close to Anne Arundel county. I've got zero space left this year, unfortunately.
