kale soup

Two superlatives. Tonight may be one of the most beautiful nights of the year. And tonight I made the best soup I have ever tasted! Garden kale, 'Tongues of Fire" dried beans, my frozen garden tomatoes and local keilbasa. Yummm!!

(more soon)
Kale (Brassica oleracea, Acephala Group)

Yum. We've still got some kale doing its thing in the garden, but haven't figured out what to do with it. I'd be interested in that recipe!

The recipe is there now. A very good soup.

Hi,

Thanks for so many beautiful pictures. Do you always eat so healthy? What is your BMI(body mass index)?

I like eating a lot of cooked vegetables and a little meat with it. I dislike fruits. And I don't generally make meals that require a lot of preparation time. I have no idea what my BMI is, but my doctor says I'm as healthy as a horse. (I assume that's good...)

Last night I made delicious French fried white potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots. We ate them straight out of the fryer. With sea salt. Yummy. I'm looking forward to trying this with fresh garden potatoes next year.
